New Head of College

Laetitia has accumulated a total of 22 years post-qualification experience and during this period worked in Psychiatric wards, Medical wards, Emergency Rooms in state and private hospitals, as well as in various Nursing colleges in the Middle East and South Africa. She has acquired valuable cross-cultural, transcultural experience with exposure to diversity teaching and nursing environments.
Laetitia has her Master’s degree in Nursing (2011) and has a keen interest in researching the most effective teaching methods for the 21st century learning environments. She is a member of the South African Nursing Council (SANC), Nursing Education Association (NEA) and Sigma Theta Tau International (STTI).Laetitia also coordinate the Interactive Telematic Education (ITE) broadcast platform for the Department of Nursing and Midwifery. Laetitia was previously the Programme coordinator and lecturer: Postgraduate diploma Nursing Education at Stellenbosch University.

New GENERAL MANAGER of Robin Trust

Robin Trust a Christian based NPO situated in Pinelands at Oude Molen Eco Village. We provide hope through CARE at our Stepdown facility where we have a multi-disciplinary team, The Nest our Alzheimer and Dementia unit for longer term stay, our Nursing College for the R683 bridging course and Home-based care course for caregivers and our Care @ Home placement agency, where we place caregivers at private homes and institutions.
Sr. Corlea Viljoen was just appointed as GENERAL MANAGER of Robin Trust after being manager in the Care @ Home division for a bit more than a year. She is a registered nurse with a diploma in operating theatre, Community Care, Nursing administration at the University of Pretoria and a Business marketing diploma at the Stellenbosch Business School. She worked at Infocare for 2 years as Business coordinator as well as at Life Vincent Pallotti Hospital for 14 years, of which 12 years were in management, Operating Theatre manager, Business efficiency nursing manager, and Patient Service manager and for 10 years at Medforum hospital in Pretoria in the Cardiac operating Theatre. We are proud to have such an experienced person at the head of our team. Her previous experience also include:
  • 8 years general theatre nursing experience.
  • 10 years Theatre nursing management experience.
  • 2 years business efficiency nursing management experience.
  • 4 years risk management experience.
  • 1-year Business Process Consultant experience
Some of her expertise include the managing of very complexed personnel issues, and her excellent communication skills with staff and clients alike makes her a valuable team member and approachable leader. She can initiate and manage change to ensure successful outcomes. Although always professional, she handles every patient, family and caregiver with empathy but very efficiently. As manager of the Care @ Home agency, she has proven herself as a very good mediator and manager of staff and clients. Her vision for Robin Trust is to GROW the organization, to make sure it is amongst the best of the competitors in the business and to make sure Robin Trust becomes a household name.
