FACILITATOR & ASSESSOR


We have a Facilitator & Assessor vacancy in the HBC Department to assume responsibility for facilitating and assessing Home Based Care, Palliative Care, Disability Care and various QCTO Qualifications. Reporting to the Education and Training manager, you’ll be responsible for managing all aspects of the programme.
Responsibilities of the role include:
  • Managing all aspects of the HWSETA accredited skills programmes
  • Managing all aspects of the learner registration process with regulatory bodies
  • Facilitating the skills programmes and QCTO qualifications according to the training schedule
  • Coordinating learning materials and planning lessons
  • Conducting assessments of learners and preparing related documentation
  • Acting as the liaison between the students and the facilities
  • Participating in curricula development
  • Partaking in and conducting of disciplinary proceedings
  • Assisting with other teaching programmes as the need arises
To be considered for the role, you’ll need:
  • To be a Enrolled Nurse with a 3 years’ experience in community health nursing and current SANC registration
  • HWSETA registered Assessor and Moderator
  • Previous experience in working in a Primary Health Care setting
  • Be a registered assessor with the Health and welfare SETA[
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Knowledge of QCTO procedures and standards
  • Knowledge of Home Based Care
  • Knowledge of teaching and learning principles
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Computer literacy skills (MS Word, Power-point, Excel)
