What you can Expect

“The Nest” is a Frail Care facility that specialises in care for those suffering from Alzheimer’s and dementia as well as other disorders.
We offer 23 beds in a home environment that offers an option between 1 or 2 beds in a room. “The Nest” has a high carer to patient ratio, meaning the patient receives excellent personal care. Our focus is to encourage the patient to be as functional and free as possible. We don’t believe in medicating heavily and our team are always present to allow a patient to stroll in the garden or move around quite freely.
Our premises at Oude Molen Eco Village in Pinelands, Cape Town allows us regular walks to visit the horses stabled there, a big hit with the patients. We care for those who need one-on-one personal care in a medical environment. Most of the residents at “The Nest” suffer from Alzheimer’s or dementia while others have experienced strokes or a debilitating accident. Residents at The Nest stay for months and even years as we support them for as long as needed.
